Marcy Hawkins, ICADCII, CCGC, is the
founder and director of R-Quest Counseling Center, who has over
10 years experience in the field of Addiction Recovery. “I seem
to be good at helping people get started in the recovery
process.” She is Internationally Certified as an Alcoholism and
Drug Abuse Counselor with specialized training in Pathological
Gambling, Eating Disorders, and Family Interventions. Her
office is located in Pleasanton and her clients consist of
individuals and family members suffering from the devastating
effects of addiction. She is popular speaker and author of a
recovery journal, Living “under the
influence” of God and a workbook that expands upon the
metaphor of the shepherd and his sheep titled HE restores
MY soul through PSALM 23. Her extraordinary ability to
blend storytelling, humor and practicality makes her classes,
groups and seminars a “one of a kind” experience. Marcy lives in
Pleasanton with her husband and son.
Lory Markle

Ms. Lory Markle serves as
an individual and family addictions counselor, group
facilitator and instructor for relapse prevention groups.
Prior to joining R-Quest 1 ˝ yrs. ago, Lory worked at an
inpatient facility in the Catskills of New York.
Grace Shih, RD, MS

One of Ms. Shih's passions is working with eating disorders. She has worked with the LPCH eating disorders program and has counseled eating disorder clients in her private practice for over fifteen years. Grace is also a consultant dietitian for three teen clinics at Kaiser Permanente where she helps treat teens with eating disorders and obesity. Ms. Shih serves as a board member of the Eating Disorders Resource Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate health professionals treating eating disorders.
Ms. Shih treats Anorexia and Bulimia (anorexia, bulimia,
diabulimia, eating disorders NOS), she is also specialized in
kids with feeding difficulties and childhood obesity.

Peter Verga
CAADAC Intern
Peter Verga is a CAADAC
Intern and a graduate from the Chemical Dependency
Studies at the California State University, Hayward. He has been
working at
R-Quest for approximately 4 1/2 years facilitating groups, family sessions, and
men's
relapse prevention programs.
